We provide the following services free of charge:
Advocacy
Dealing with “the system”. We can provide you with information, support, and can act as a liaison on your behalf. We are also in contact with various levels of government in order to ensure women’s voices are heard.
Emotional Support
We offer unconditional, non-judgmental, and confidential* support to women and their families who are dealing with any number of issues.
*Please note that we must report or act on any disclosures of child abuse, suicidal intention, or intent to harm somebody else.
Instrumental Support
Whether you are trying to track down furniture, need to find some information, or just want to use the internet or phone, we can help! Stop by and we’ll even offer you a cup of coffee.
Referrals
If you’re unsure where to go for help, we can point you in the right direction and connect you with the people and services that suit your needs.
Community Education
We are willing to make community presentations, offer various-themed workshops on request, and provide one-on-one information sessions to interested individuals.
Lobbying
We are in contact with all levels of government to promote women’s right to ensure that women’s voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. There are many ways to lobby for change.
Education
Women are encouraged to share their stories in order to educate others on issues that are of concern to them. We offer workshops on subjects requested by women in the community.
