SUMMARY:Juice Box Social (Fernie)
DESCRIPTION:There has been a change to the Juice Box Social schedule!! The JBS’s will now be happening once a month\, and they will be a pajama party! \nThe Juice Box Social is a drop-in group for families with babies and toddlers from birth to two years. Siblings and visiting family members are also welcome to attend. The program is based on the building blocks that community connection between parents\, all ages of caregivers and family are the main support for early learning. The weekly program lasts just over an hour\, Anie Hepher loves to facilitate a 20-30 minute program with songs\, stories fingerplays\, musical instruments\, and even scarves. She loves to provide parents with music to help with all the daily transitions of young family routines. Using music as a way to connect with your baby and with one another\, we spend time chatting and relaxing\, with coffee and snacks provided. Once a month soup is provided. For the first few weeks of October\, our group meets outside at Fernie Rotary Park and once things cool down we gather at the Fernie Seniors Citizen’s Drop -In Centre. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our free drop-in Grief Support Group at Our Place located at 1592A 10th Ave in Fernie\, BC. This in-person event provides a safe and supportive space for individuals who are experiencing grief. Whether you have recently lost a loved one or are still coping with a past loss\, our group offers a compassionate environment where you can share your feelings\, connect with others who understand\, and find comfort in a community of support. Our experienced facilitator will guide discussions and provide helpful resources to assist you on your healing journey. Come and join us as we navigate through grief together. This free event is hosted by Heartwise Therapeutic Services and the Elk Valley Suicide Task Force. \nGrief Support Group Facilitator \nMirey Faema (She/Her) \nRegistered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #20791)\, Canadian Certified Counsellor ( C.C.C.) \nMirey is passionate about building connections with\, and providing support to\, individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma\, relationship challenges\, self-esteem challenges\, gender transitions\, and grief. Mirey takes a collaborative and integrated approach to help clients find healing and symptom reduction. \nIn addition to her private practice you can find Mirey at the Fernie Women’s Resource Centre providing free counselling services 2 days a week. Prior to opening Heartwise Counselling Mirey completed her Masters of Counselling Psychology and was practicing in Calgary at the Trellis Society. \n  \nPLEASE NOTE: Each person and each person within a family grieve on a different timetable. We recommend waiting at least 8 to 10 weeks after the death before joining a support group. The Fernie Women’s Resource Centre is excited to bring you two classic movies: Polar Express and Home Alone 1! \n\n\nFilms begin at 11 AM. \n\nBring your friends\, family\, and holiday cheer for an evening of fun and goodwill. Tickets are $5 at the door and in advance through eventbrite here. Online ticket sales will close at 4 PM on Friday\, December 12th.\n\nAll ticket sales will benefit the Fernie Women’s Resource Centre Emergency Fund. \n\n\nWe’re also collecting donations for our annual Give A Gift Toy Drive. SUMMARY:Juice Box Social (Fernie)
DESCRIPTION:There has been a change to the Juice Box Social schedule!! The JBS’s will now be happening once a month\, and they will be a pajama party! \nThe Juice Box Social is a drop-in group for families with babies and toddlers from birth to two years. Siblings and visiting family members are also welcome to attend. The program is based on the building blocks that community connection between parents\, all ages of caregivers and family are the main support for early learning. The weekly program lasts just over an hour\, Anie Hepher loves to facilitate a 20-30 minute program with songs\, stories fingerplays\, musical instruments\, and even scarves. She loves to provide parents with music to help with all the daily transitions of young family routines. Using music as a way to connect with your baby and with one another\, we spend time chatting and relaxing\, with coffee and snacks provided. Once a month soup is provided. For the first few weeks of October\, our group meets outside at Fernie Rotary Park and once things cool down we gather at the Fernie Seniors Citizen’s Drop -In Centre.
