Parent-Tot Funtimes

Parent-Tot Funtimes is a drop-in program for families with kids aged 0 to 6. It's all about helping families connect and giving kids a chance to learn early. Every session has toys, songs and stories, and a craft or fun activity.

What We Offer

Kids learn a lot through play. They reach important growth milestones when they play! But as grown-ups, it can be tough to know how to play. Come learn with your kids from our early years educator. We have fun activities with toys, songs and stories, and a craft or activity. There is also free play time, and everyone gets a snack to take home! Programs are hosted outdoors in the summer months.

  • It’s a free drop-in program from September to June.
  • It’s from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on these days:
    • On Mondays, we’re in Sparwood at the Rec Centre in the Community Hall (above the rink).
    • On Tuesdays, we’re in Fernie at the Fernie Family Centre.
    • On Wednesdays, we’re in Elkford at the Elkford Alliance Church (in the basement).

I feel very grateful to be able to take on the role of the Early Years Coordinator. As a mom of three the community connection and support were so important to me when my kids were small. I am excited that I can once again be a part of these programs throughout the Elk Valley! I’m a big fan of skiing with my family, taking my dog Reeva for walks and cheering on my kids at the hockey rink or volleyball court.
